WBCS Recruitment 2023: Public Service Commission, West Bengal has released a notification for the WBCS Recruitment 2023 on their official website. According to the notification, the application process for, WBSC 2023 starts on 28th February 2023 and the application is live till 21st March 2023.

Age Age between 21-36 years as of 01/01/2023. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and other reserved categories will get the age relaxation as per government rules.
Qualification A degree from a recognized University and Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali
Fee Rs.210/-SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) having physical
disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.
Examination process Preliminary Examination (Objective MCQ Type) followed by Main Examination (Both Objective MCQ Type and Conventional Type).after that  Personality Test
Language of examination Answer in all the papers, compulsory and optional, except the language paper may be written either in English or in Bengali

Educational Qualification:  Graduating in any subject from any recognized university can be applied. Also should be able to speak and write the Bengali language. In the case of those whose mother tongue is Nepali, knowing Bengali is applicable.

Main examination:
The Main Examination shall consist of six Compulsory papers and one optional
subject consisting of two papers (Only for candidates applying for groups A and/or B) to be chosen by the candidates from the list of optional subjects given below. There will be two papers on the optional subject for 200 marks each. Each paper, Compulsory or
Optional, will carry 200 marks and will be of 3 hours duration.

Out of six compulsory papers four papers i.e. (i) General Studies- I, (ii) General Studies- II, (iii) The Constitution of India and Indian Economy including role and functions of Reserve Bank of India and (iv) Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning will be of MCQ Type to be answered in OMR answer sheets and remaining two compulsory papers i.e. Paper – I and Paper – II will be of conventional type written examination.
