Cyclone Mocha Date May 8 to 12 2023: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) heat wave conditions are not likely over any part of India during the next five days.

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands will receive heavy rainfall from May 8 to May 12, which is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm in the coming days under the influence of cyclonic circulation over the southeast Bay of Bengal.

May 8 to 12 Weather:

Meteorological Department said a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal by May 8 and intensify into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal around May 9.

A cyclonic storm is moving nearly northwards towards the central Bay of Bengal. The details of the cyclonic storm named Cyclone Mocha will be made available after the formation of a low-pressure area.

Fishermen returned to a safe place before May 7:

In view of the cyclone forecast, IMD has issued an advisory for fishermen, small vessels, boats, trawlers, and marine activities in Andaman and Nicobar Islands region.

Under this, fishermen currently working in the southeast of the Bay of Bengal have been asked to return to safe places before May 7. At the same time, people living in the Bay of Central Bengal have been advised to return to safe places before May 9.

Yellow alert for Odisha (Cyclone Mocha Date):

Meanwhile, the Odisha government has asked the collectors of 18 coastal and adjoining districts to prepare for any eventuality in view of the forecast of a cyclonic storm. Yellow warning of rain with thunderstorms has been issued for many districts of Odisha including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, and Puri. IMD’s forecast regarding summer is going to give relief to the people.

The Meteorological Department issues a Yellow Alert to tell about the upcoming bad weather conditions. This can be taken as an alarm bell. This means that there may not be any danger at present, but at any time the weather can create dangerous conditions, so be prepared for it. In fact, there is no possibility of a heatwave in any part of India during the coming 5 days.
